Ingredients:
2-15 oz. cans pinto beans drained and rinsed
½ cup chopped white onion
¼ cup chopped green pepper
¼ cup bread crumbs or corn meal
1 ½ tablespoon oil
2 tablespoon garlic powder
1 jalapeno pepper chopped or more to taste
1/4 teaspoon COLGIN NATURAL MESQUITE LIQUID SMOKE
¼ cup cilantro
½ teaspoon cumin
salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:
In frying pan put oil and add onions and peppers cook 5 mins or until done, remove from pan, drain and save, in large bowl put drained beans and mash, add onions and peppers, smoke and spices, shape into 8 equal cakes, coat with breadcrumbs and fry in frying pan until done. Add your favorite salsa with cakes.
