SMOKEY CHICKEN LIVER PATE

serves 6

1 1/2 lbs. chicken livers
1/4 cup butter
1 cup chopped white onions
2 hard-cooked eggs
2 tbs. Cognac
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1-2 drops Colgin Pecan Liquid Smoke
salt and pepper to taste

Melt butter in saucepan, add onions simmer until done. Add chicken livers and smoke. Saute until liver is done. Combine all ingredients in food processor and process until smooth. Chill 1-2 hours. Serve with crackers or bread.
