SMOKEY MOUNTAIN BRINE

Ingredients:

1 gallon apple juice
2 liters cream soda
8 ounces soy sauce
1 cup kosher salt
4 cups barbeque sauce
1 teaspon COLGIN NATURAL HICKORY LIQUID SMOKE
5 garlic cloves, crushed
2 onions, chopped
2 tablespoon freshly cracked peppercorns
2 cups brown sugar
2 bell peppers, chopped

Instructions:
  Combine all ingredients in a large stock pot and mix. Slowly lower totally thawed turkey or chicken into pot. Add enough water to totally submerge bird. Refrigerate for 24-48 hours. Remove bird and cook as usual.
