WHISKEY BAKED BEANS

serves 8

3 (15 oz.) cans great northern beans
1 small onion, diced
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon COLGIN NATURAL HICKORY LIQUID SMOKE
1 clove garlic, crushed
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup whiskey
8 slices uncooked bacon

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 300F. Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan. In a large mixing bowl, stir together beans, onion, brown sugar, mustard, liquid smoke, garlic, salt, and whiskey. Pour mixture into the baking pan. Cover the top of the beans with the uncooked bacon. Bake at 300F for 4 hours.
