LAMB OR BEEF STEW

2 lbs lean raw lamb or beef
1 green pepper, chopped
2 tablespoon butter
1/2 tsp. COLGIN NATURAL HICKORY LIQUID SMOKE
1 cup sliced onion
1 quart water
3 cups diced potatoes
Flour, salt, and pepper

Brush meat with COLGIN NATURAL HICKORY LIQUID SMOKE, cut into small pieces, roll in flour. Melt butter, add onion and cook until it turns yellow, then add meat. When the meat and onion have browned, transfer to kettle and add water. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Add other ingredients and cook 20 minutes.
