BAKED BEANS

Ingredients:
1 lb large great northern beans
1/4 tsp. COLGIN NATURAL LIQUID SMOKE
½ cup sugar
1 (16oz.) can tomatoes, crushed
1 (18oz.) can tomato sauce
red pepper, to taste
6 oz. of Canadian bacon

Instructions:
Wash beans. Cover with water and cook until tender, approximately two hours. Add liquid smoke (for taste) to beans (appx ½ to 1 teaspoon). When beans are tender and liquid is cooked down to a small amount, add the sugar, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and red pepper. Pour into casserole. Cover with Canadian bacon. Bake at 350°F for one hour or until desired consistency is obtained.
