BEAN RAREBIT

serves 6

6 slices french bread, toasted
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
2 tbs. butter
1 tsp. garlic cloves, crushed
4 tbs. ketchup
2 tsp. chili powder
1 [14oz.] can kidney beans,drained
1 [14oz.] baked beans
1 tbs. Colgin Worcestershire Sauce
salt and pepper to taste

In skillet, melt butter, add onion and garlic,
simmer on low heat 4-5 minutes or until done. Stir in the kidney beans, baked beans, ketchup,
worcestershire sauce,chili powder, salt and pepper. Simmer the mixture for 4-5 minutes,
stirring occasionally. Add the cheese and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until cheese has melted. Place french toast on plates and top with bean mixture. Add the cilantro.
